While in Hawaii he met Dick Powell and Robert Mitchum and became involved in shooting of some movies, including "The Enemy Below" and "South Pacific." After his return to the states, he settled in Sherman, where he held several positions before beginning his career with the City of Sherman as an accountant until his retirement. Mr. Coe was a member of Grand Avenue Presbyterian Church, Bass Club and Elks Club.
