Services for Sarah Orella Barrow, 71, of Marietta, were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 4, in the Shady Dale Baptist Church with the Rev. John Sconce officiating.

Mrs. Barrow was born August 29, 1928 in Marshall County, the daughter of William Theodore and Katie Jackson Ross. She died Monday, May 1, 2000, at Mercy Memorial Health Center, Ardmore.

She had lived in Love County the past 20 years, previously living in Arlington, Texas, and California. She and Joe Barrow were married September 8, 1948, in McKinney, Texas, and he preceded her in death on February 16, 2000. Mrs. Barrow was a cook and also owned and operated her own restaurant in Madill and in Texas. She had also worked at the Love County Health Center in Marietta as a dietician and also at Lake Country Manor Nursing Home in Marietta. Mrs. Barrow was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her stepdaugher, Marsha Bolander of Winfield, Kansas; three brothers, W.T. Ross of Madill, Joe Ross and Bill Ross, both of Marietta; two sisters, Arvella Kreger of Oakland, and Katie Hallum of Marietta; one grandchild, five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Barrow was also preced in death by her parents and a son, Jerry Barrow.

Serving as pallbearers were Larry Eddy, Randy Putman, Dave Maranville, Johnny Thacker, Tommy Mayes, Joey Ross and Joe Mayes. Honorary pallbearers were Sam and Debbie Cain and Larry, Rise and Eric Fergueson.

Interment was in the Lakeview Cemetery under the direction of Kennedy Funeral Home.
