Graveside services for Sidney C. Butler were Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in the Crinerville Cemetery with Rev. James King officiating.
Born November 3, 1922, at Marsden, Mr. Butler died October 26, 1997, at his residence at the age of 74. He was the son of Edward Gilbert and Annie Netti Meeks Butler.
A resident of the Marsden community all of his life, Mr. Butler was a retired farmer and of the Baptist faith. He also served during World War II.
Survivors include two sisters, Lois Holley of Ardmore and Velma Trent of Richardson, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Butler was preceded in death by five sisters and three brothers.
Services were directed by Kennedy Funeral Home.
The family has requested that donations be made to Marsden Baptist Church.
