Pearle Marie Barrick

Graveside services for Pearle Marie Barrick, 85, Marietta, were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, December 9, at Dixie Cemetery, Ringling, with the Rev. Don Keizor officiating.
Mrs. Barrick was born March 24, 1918, in Carter County, the daughter of William Pollard and Myrtle Rose Roberts Ficklin. She died December 5, 2003, in Country Club Care, Duncan.
She grew up in the Rubottom/Ringling area. She and Robert A. Barrick were married on June 30, 1934, in Pauls Valley, and he preceded her in death on January 23, 1980. The family lived in Duncan for several years, then moved to Marietta for six years at which time they owned and operated Barricks Grocery. After making their home in Colorado for 12 years, the family returned to Marietta in 1972 to make their home. Mrs. Barrick was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Duane Grant of Wynnewood, Bonda and Bryan Breatchel of Duncan and Bette and Kenneth Shelton of Marietta; a sister, Billie Horn of Pauls Valley; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Barrick was also preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Joyce Nail; two brothers; three sisters; two infant grandchildren; and two infant great-grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearers were Carroll Montgomery, John Rushing, J.C. Harris and Arthur Rickets.
Services were under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home, Marietta.
