Services for Posey Brewer, 92, will be today (Friday) at 2:00 p.m. in the First Baptist Church of Sunset, Texas, with Rev. Doyle Wade, pastor, officiating.

Born July 25, 1904, in Paint Rock, Alabama, Mr. Brewer died September 23, 1996, in the Bowie Memorial Hospital, Bowie, Texas.

Mr. Brewer was a resident of Love County before moving to Sunset 66 years ago. A retired farmer and rancher, Mr. Brewer was a charter member of the First Baptist Church in Sunset where he taught a young boys Sunday School class. He married Delphia Brewer on December 11, 1927, in Thackerville.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Delphia Brewer of Sunset; two sons, Dowell Brewer of Lockney, Texas, and Donville Brewer of Electra, Texas; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Interment will be in Sunset Cemetery, Sunset, Texas, directed by Burgess-Fry-Owens-Brumley Funeral Home, Bowie, Texas. Serving as pallbearers will be Winifred Brewer, Gary Brewer, Gerald Brewer, John Slack, H.E. Brewer and Daral Segler.
