Services for Lucille L. Boosamra, 84, of Falconhead, Burneyville, were held at 10 a.m., Friday, September 3, in the Falconhead Christian Fellowship Chapel, Falconhead, with Bro. Travis Huffman officiating.
Mrs. Boosamra was born March 8, 1920, in Indiahoma, the daughter of William A. and Emily Elizabeth Lee Logan. She died Tuesday, August 31, 2004, in Brookside Manor, Madill.
A resident of the Falconhead community since 1980, Mrs. Boosamra moved there from Sherman, Texas. She and Emile "Buzz" Boosamra were married March 14, 1954, in Brownsville, Texas, and he preceded her in death on April 19, 1987. A 1937 graduate of Indiahoma High School, Mrs. Boosamra received an associate's degree from Cameron University in 1939, and a bachelor's degree in 1960 from Pan American University. She taught in the San Benito and Gunter, Texas School Districts from 1957 until retiring in 1980. Mrs. Boosamra was of the Church of Christ faith.
Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Sherry Boosamra of the home; a sister, Zella Beauchamp of Gainesville, Florida; four grandchildren, Mike and Shelley Boosamra, Shannon Yohn, Amber Anderson and Josh Boosamra; five great-grandchildren, Justin Boosamra, Heather Yohn, Bailey Yohn, Jessica Boosamra and Christian Anderson.
Mrs. Boosamra was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, John C. Boosamra on March 16, 1997; a brother, Bill Logan on December 5, 1956; three sisters, Mamie M. Giles on July 19, 1984, Pauline Jones in 1992, and Muriel Logan on July 10, 1992; and an infant daughter, Susan Lee Boosamra.
Pallbearers were family members.
Honorary pallbearers were Josh Boosamra and Justin Boosamra.
Interment was in Lakeview Cemetery, Marietta, under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home, Marietta.
Memorial contributions may be made to Royal Crest Hospice, the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association, in care of the funeral home.
