Graveside services for former Jimtown resident Janie Brewer were conducted Monday at 2:00 p.m. in the Leon Cemetery. Officiating was Rev. Garlon Taylor.
Born June 12, 1906, at Brushy Mound, Indian Territory, Miss Brewer died January 28, 1995, in South Community Hospital of Oklahoma City. She was the daughter of Rev. C.L. and Mary Woods Brewer.
A resident of Jimtown during the 1930's and 1940's, she had made her home in Oklahoma City since that time. Miss Brewer was a homemaker and a member of the Jimtown Baptist Church.
She is survived by a sister, Georgia Stofel of Leon; a nephew, Don Brewer of Canadian, whom Miss Brewer raised along with his sister; and several other nieces and nephews.
Services were directed by the Anderson-Kennedy Funeral Home.
