June Baccus

Services for June Baccus, 74, of Thackerville, were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 2, at Eastside Baptist Church in Marietta with the Rev. Mike Williams officiating.
Mrs. Baccus was born June 2, 1927, in Electra, Texas, the daughter of Edward Ernest and Margaretta Jane Packard Miller. She died Sunday, December 30, 2001, in Mercy Health Love County, Marietta.
Mrs. Baccus had made her home in Love County most of her life. She and Loyd W. Baccus were married March 21, 1952, in Gainesville, Texas, and he preceded her in death July 12, 1991. Mrs. Baccus attended school at Jimtown and was a cook in several restaurants in the area. She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Clyde and Dortha Woods of Dixon, Missouri; a daughter and son-in-law, Sue Ann and Bobby Jackson of Thackerville; a daughter-in-law, Mary Lou Hernaiz of Marietta; a brother-in-law, Jack Caldwell of Marietta; a sister-in-law, Nonnie Miller of Jimtown; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Baccus was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, Sam Hernaiz; two sisters, Edna Gilbert and Mildred Caldwell; and a brother, Burl Miller.
Serving as pallbearers were nephews, Charles Gilbert, James Caldwell, B.J. Emberling, B.G. Caldwell, Bobby Caldwell and Mike Caldwell.
Interment was in Leon Cemetery, under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home, Marietta.
