Services for Ilene Brian of Sapulpa were at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Kennedy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tommy Higle, minister of Marietta's First Baptist Church, officiating.
Born March 23, 1917, at Henryetta, Mrs. Brian died at her residence at Sapulpa at the age of 80. She was the daughter of Benjamin M. and Virginia Been Guinn.
Mrs. Brian had lived in Marietta for 25 years before moving to Sapulpa six years ago. She attended the First Baptist Church of Marietta and was a member of the Seventh Day Church of God. Mrs. Brian was very active with the Love County Health Center Pink Ladies Auxiliary for many years along with being a longtime member and leader of Love, Beaver and Creek County Extension Clubs. She was a member of the Rose Garden Club for 25 years while in Marietta, serving in all capacities of the organization. Mrs. Brian also enjoyed gardening, sewing and making flower arrangements.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth Jr. and Shirley Brian of Monroe, Louisiana, and Michael and Jan Brian of Okmulgee; a daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Roger Tice of Sapulpa; a brother, Earl Guinn of Ardmore; a sister, Velda Bateman of Ardmore; nine grandchildren, Todd Eric Brian, Kenneth Brian III, Michael Hayden Brian, Tonja Renee Lorenzo, Susie Woods, Michelle Renee Curtis, Julie Brian, Brett Alan Tice and Cathy Shows; and five great-grandchildren, Kristen Curtis, Erin Curtis, Christopher Woods, Crystal Woods and Nicholas Zografos.
Mrs. Brian was preceded in death by her husband, K.C. Brian in 1975; a son, Bobby Brian; five sisters, Ruby, Beulah, Adah, Helen and Elda; and a brother, Elbert Guinn.
Interment was in Lakeview Cemetery under the direction of Kennedy Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Wade Moore, O.I. Vinson, Bud Hill and Alvin Hilton. Honorary pallbearer was Lamar Carter.
