Mrs. Bond was born November 22, 1926, in White Rose, and died February 18, 1993, in an Ardmore hospital. She was the daughter of Steve J. and Doris Sanders Dedek.
A resident of Thackerville most of her life, she worked for the Tourist Information Center and Bomber-Bait in Gainesville for 30 years. She married Art Bond March 29, 1945, in Marietta. Mrs. Bond was a member of the First Baptist Church of Thackerville.
Survivors include a son, Mike Bond of Thackerville; three daughters, Donna Wilson, Ann Craft, and Sue Reed of Thackerville; five brothers, Clent Dedek of Edmond, Kenzie Dedek of Corvallis, Oregon, Michael Frank Dedek of Dallas, Texas, Steve Dedek, Jr., of Gainesville, and David Dedek of Oklahoma City; four sisters, Helen Long of Marietta, Linda Morgan of Irving, Texas, and Barbara Gregg and Burnedia Nammingo of Dallas; six grandchildren and 10 great-grand-children.
Mrs. Bond was preceded in death by her husband on June 28, 1986; a son, Art Bond, Jr.; and a brother, Henry Dedek.
Interment was in Lakeview Cemetery under the direction of the Anderson-Kennedy Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers were Elvis Monkres, Wesley Liddell, Jr., Luke Langston, Bill Fussell, Sr., Merle Flanagan, Orvil Brown, Dean Pearman, and Anthony Reed.
