Services for Flossie E. "Sis" Blakley, 85, were Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in the Jimtown Baptist Church with Rev. Roy Vinson officiating.

Mrs. Blakley was born February 15, 1911, at Jimtown, the daughter of Earl and Julia T. Wooldridge Harris, and died June 10, 1996, in the Love County Health Center, Marietta.

Mrs. Blakley grew up at Leon and attended school there. She married James Edward Blakley on November 30, 1929, at Leon and shortly after their marriage moved to Jimtown where they continued to make their home. Mrs. Blakley was a longtime member of the Jimtown Baptist Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Winefred Hignight of Ardmore, Lois Parker of Burneyville and Linda Bell of Ardmore; two sons, James Blakley of Wilson and Lewis Blakley of Jimtown; a sister, Dorthea Hicks of Marietta; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Blakley was preceded in death by her husband on December 19, 1976; a son, Archie Blakley on August 22, 1993; and a great-grandson, Chad Reed, on July 21, 1991.

Arrangements were under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home, Wilson, with interment in the Jimtown Cemetery. Serving as bearers were Larry Hicks, Mike Mayes, Ott Ladner, F.S. Mapp, Archelowe Terrill, Paul Hallum, Johnny Hall and Billy John Gipson. Honorary bearers were Ulys Mapp, Badger McBride, Thurston Hicks and Jimmy Hall.
