Duard C. "Dugan" Barnes

Memorial services for Duard C. "Dugan" Barnes were conducted Sunday at 2:00 p.m. in the Falconhead Christian Fellowship Chapel. Officiating was Bud Barnes.
Mr. Barnes was born October 10, 1911, at Eakly, the son of Willis Edwin and Maude Alice Schuler Barnes, and died December 24, 1997, at Mercy Memorial Health Center, Ardmore, at the age of 86.
Mr. Barnes had lived at Falconhead since 1981, moving there from Ardmore. He married Ethel L. Smith March 11, 1933, at El Reno, and she preceded him in death on January 5, 1993.
Mr. Barnes was retired as co-owner/operator of El Reno Poultry and Egg Company with his late brother, Earl Barnes. He currently attended the Falconhead Christian Fellowship Chapel and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of El Reno. Mr. Barnes was also a member of the Falconhead Men's Golf Association.
He is survived by a son, Bob Barnes of the home at Falconhead; a daughter, Bonnie L. Rose of Choctaw; a brother, Don Barnes of Buchanan Dam, Texas; a sister, Doris Porter of Shawnee; and two grandchildren, Bob Rose and Raina Tagle.
Services were directed by Kennedy Funeral Home.
