Services for Doreen Barrick, 42, will be Friday at 2:00 p.m. in the Eastside Baptist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Dwight Hawkins and Rev. Tim Emmons.
Born November 16, 1951, in Leon, Mrs. Barrick died March 1, 1994, at the Love County Health Center, Marietta. She was the daughter of Billy and Vivian Idell Graham.
A resident of Love County all of her life, she married Mike Barrick December 20, 1969, in Leon. Mrs. Barrick had been employed as a secretary-bookkeeper at the Love County Health Center since 1990 and had previously served as Director of the Big 5 and the R.S.V.P. Mrs. Barrick was an avid fisherman and of the Baptist belief.
Survivors include her husband, Mike Barrick of the home in Marietta; two sons and daughter-in-law, Chris and Johanna Barrick of Marietta and Colby Barrick of the home; her parents, Billy and Vivian Graham of Leon; and two grandchildren, Christy Jo and Ashlyn Rae Barrick.
Mrs. Barrick was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Lajuan Graham, in 1967.
Services will be directed by the Anderson-Kennedy Funeral Home with interment in the Leon Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Merl Bone, Timmy Bone, Jay Barrick, Randy Graham, Don Hurst, Jeff Graham, Bobby Foster and Randy Higgs. Honorary bearers include Bill Bell, Steve Bell and Toby Hicks.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Anderson-Kennedy Funeral Home.
