Graveside service for Archie A. Blakley were at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday in the Jimtown Cemetery with Rev. Dwight Hawkins officiating.
Born April 18, 1936, at Jimtown, Mr. Blakley died August 22, 1993, in Love County.
He had lived in Love County all of his life and attended school at Leon and Jimtown. Mr. Blakley managed the Wilson Co-op for 10 years and later farmed and ranched for Dale Lyons. He was a member of the Wolf Hunters Association and the Jimtown Baptist Church.
He is survived by two sons, Brandy Blakley and Brad Blakley of Leon; his mother, Flossie “Sis” Blakley of Jimtown; three sisters, Linda Bell and Winefred Hignight of Ardmore and Lois Parker of Burneyville; and two brothers, James Blakley of Wilson and Lewis Blakley of Jimtown.
Mr. Blakley was preceded in death by his father, James E. Blakley.
Services were directed by Alexander Funeral Home with Larry Lyons, F. S. Mapp, Ott Ladner, Larry Gilcrease, Herb Hartman and Larry Taliaferro serving as casket bearers.
