Services for Henry Abden Alexander, 73, were at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday in the Galloway & Sons Chapel, Beeville, Texas. Officiating was Rev. Bill Treude. Graveside services were conducted Thursday at 2:00 p.m. in Lakeview Cemetery.
Mr. Alexander was born September 17, 1917, in Marietta and died March 3, 1991, in a Seguin, Texas, hospital. He was the son of Henry A. and Hester Simmons Alexander.
Mr. Alexander and the former Elna Moore were married November 28, 1934, in Durant, and they had made their home in Beeville since 1945. During World War II, Mr. Alexander served in the Air Corps and in 1977 retired as a construction foreman for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Beeville and the Beeville Pioneer Club. Mr. Alexander was past Worshipful Master of the Beeville Masonic Lodge and was serving as treasurer at the time of his death.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Elna Alexander of Beeville.
Arrangements were under the direction of Galloway & Sons, Inc., Funeral Directors, Beeville. Serving as casket bearers were Buckshot Boenig, Buddy Hardy, Arthur Sprouse, Ben Wiley, Robert Carpenter, Monroe Finke, and Max Moore.
