Graveside services for Clyde David Thompson, of Thackerville, OK, are set for 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 31, 2023, at the Mount Zion Cemetery in Thackerville with Pastor John Straughn officiating.
 
David was born to Dent and Christine Valentine (Loving) Thompson on November 28, 1938, in Sivells Bend, TX. He passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2023, at Mercy Love County in Marietta, OK at the age of 84.
He lived in Thackerville his entire life and was an active member of the Baptist Church. David loved to go to his farm and enjoyed riding his tractor and counting cows. He worked as a barber at his shop in Gainesville, TX, Big State Barber Shop, for 28 years. David gave up that career after a tragic fire destroyed his home in 1990.
 
David is survived by his son Michael Thompson of Thackerville; daughter, Laura Monkres and husband Randall of Thackerville; brother, Eldon McCage of Ardmore; five grandchildren, Wesley Monkres and wife Amanda, Emily Wilson and husband Joseph, Jordan Thompson and wife Kaelynn, Brittnee Wright and husband Jason, and Brandon Thompson; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Preceding David in death were his parents; a sister, Marie (Thompson) Kilcrease; and brothers, Charles Thompson and Wesley McCage.
