Graveside services for C.B. Patterson of Thackerville were held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.  Officiating was Murray McMurray.

Mr. Patterson was born April 16, 1924, at Hollis and died May 30, 1999, at the Oklahoma Veterans Center in Ardmore.  He was the son of Herbert E. and Ella R. Rash Patterson. Mr. Patterson had lived in Love County for seven years but was currently making his home in Ardmore.  During World War II, he served in the U.S. Marine Corps.  Afterwards, he served in the U.S. Army.  Mr. Patterson was a member of the Gainesville VFW Post.  A retired oil field worker, Mr. Patterson was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include a brother, Elmer Patterson of Amarillo, Texas, a sister, Rosie Hopson of Brownfield, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Patterson was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters. 

Services were under the direction of Kennedy Funeral Home.
