Graveside services for Eddie Troy Martin, 57, of Mexia, Texas were held on February 15 at 2:00 p.m. in the Morgan Rest Cemetery at Simon, with Rev. David Colaw officiating.

Mr. Martin was born December 27, 1942, at Groesbeck, Texas, to D.C. and Agnes Sanders Martin. He died suddenly February 12, 2000 in Mexia. A lifetime resident of Limestone County, Texas, he attended Navarro College and was a salesman for Tom's Foods before he retired in 1993. He and the former Carolyn Faye Morgan were married in March 1967, at Mexia.

Survivors include, his wife of the home; a daughter, Angie Murphey of Mexia; two sisters, Ruth Thornton of Mabank, Texas and Virginia Gnesios of Santa Rosa, California; two granddaughters, Amber and Ashley Murphey of Mexia.

Mr. Martin was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Bob and Dickie Martin; and a sister, Eva D. Few.

Services were directed by Alexander Funeral Home, Wilson.
