Chapel services for Alta Faye Chitwood Yocum, 95, of Rubottom will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, February 7 in the Chapel of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home with Elderman Wayne Warthen officiating.

Interment will follow in the Leon Cemetery.

Born September 4, 1924 at Rubottom, the daughter of Daniel and Josie Gatlin Chitwood, she died Saturday, February 1, 2020 in Lake Country Nursing Center, Marietta. Alta Faye lived most of her life in Love County.

She married Isaac “Ike” Yocum on February 3, 1948 and he preceded her in death in December of 1982.

Alta Faye worked as a seamstress with Marietta Sportswear for many years but served her family as a homemaker for the biggest part of her life. She enjoyed her television shows and was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Jerry K. Pipins and Doyle R. Pipins; granddaughter, Tina Nichols; two companions, Earl Buchanan and Preston Jobe; brother, Daniel Chitwood; six sisters, Velma Langley, Gertrude Watkins, Rena Warthen Powell, Susie Bilderback, Elsie Dees, and Dorothy Barrick; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Survivors include two sons, David Jobe and Larry Jobe, both of Oklahoma City; four grandchildren, Michelle Hollomon, Shawn Suzuki, Lloyd Pipins Skates, and Doyle Junior Pipins; and several nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be Steven Chitwood, Dylan Brock, Sheldon Bone, Dan Dees, Brian Dees and Jimmy Frazier. Honorary bearers are nieces and nephews.
