Services for Larry James Wolfe, Sr., 67, of Leon were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 20, in the Jimtown Baptist Church with Brother Howard McMurray officiating and Brother Jimmy May assisting. Interment followed in the Leon Cemetery.
 
Born December 16, 1953 at Lawton, the son of Calvin and Betty Romines Wolfe, he died Monday, May 17, 2021 at his residence.
 
Larry was a lifelong area resident attending Turner Schools. He worked as a fabricator for CNI Manufacturing and served on the Leon Volunteer Fire Department. Larry married the love of his life Vera Lou Ramon on May 17, 1971 in Marietta. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, noodling, camping, playing golf, playing basketball, and tending to his garden. Larry also loved going to eat fish with his brothers and sisters and watching his grandkids play ball. He was a member of the Jimtown Baptist Church.
 
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin and Betty Wolfe; daughter, Debbie Leona Wolfe; son, Larry Wolfe, Jr.; two grandchildren, Javier Wolfe and Jalen Wolfe; a brother, Leon Wolfe; and a sister, Kimmie Wolfe.
 
Survivors include his wife, Vera Lou Wolfe of the home; son, David Ray Wolfe and  fiancé Angela Watson of the home; daughters, Melissa Ann Foster and husband Kent of Rubottom and Andrea Boyd and husband Ricky of the home; brothers,  David Lynn Wolfe of Marietta and Michael Ray Wolfe of Grapevine, Texas; sisters, Marilyn Neal of Wilson and Becky Gomez of Mannsville; special sister-in-law, Patricia Williams of Marietta; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
 
Serving as pallbearers were Michael Wolfe, David L. Wolfe, Devyn Peery, Clifford Ramon, Kevin Wolfe, and Johnny Gilbert. Honorary bearers were Greg Parker, Adolpho Ramon, Tony Ramon, and Terry Vernon.
