Floye Reed was born September 4, 1931, in Delhi, LA, the daughter of George Walter McDonald and Olla Myrtis Hicks McDonald. She passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2014, at her home at Burneyville, OK, at the age of 83. Mrs. Reed had been a resident of Love County most of her life. 
 
She and M.H. Reed were married in 1946, in Gainesville, TX. A homemaker, Floye enjoyed gardening, quilting, sewing and cooking. She was a member of the Leon Baptist Church. 
 
Her parents preceded her in death as did a sister, Helen Simmons; and son-in-law, Johnny Wayne "Hoot" Crider on January 21, 2014.

Survivors include her husband, M.H. Reed of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Devon and Mary Reed of Burneyville; two daughters and son-in-law, Charlene and Jimmie Frazier of Leon and Dian Crider of Dickson, OK; stepsister, Imogene Palmer of Leon; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
 
Casket bearers will be grandsons, Kevin Frazier, Damon Frazier, Josh Crelia, Travis Reed, Colton Reed and Taylor Stinson.
