Born February 25, 1946, at Jimtown, Mr. Miller died March 11, 1998, at his residence at Jimtown at the age of 52. He was the son of Burl and Nonnie Lane Miller.

Mr. Miller was raised at Jimtown and then moved to Texas City, Texas. He moved back to Jimtown in 1974. Mr. Miller married Kathryn Porter in 1965 at Brazeltown, Texas. He worked at Uniroyal for 22 years and owned and operated Miller Catfish Farm since 1986. Mr. Miller also served in the U.S. Army Reserves during the Vietnam War era. He was a member of the Rubottom Baptist Church and the Moose Lodge of Ardmore.

Survivors include his mother, Nonnie Miller of Jimtown; his wife, Kathryn Miller of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Darrin and Rhonda Miller of Durant; four sisters, Burla Sue Miller of Jimtown, Lou Gregg of Wilson, Mary Jane Moore of Davis and Roxie Norvell of Andrews, Texas; two grandchildren, Whitney and Josey Harbour; a special nephew, Lane Miller of Jimtown; other nieces and nephews.

Mr. Miller was preceded in death by a daughter, Ebony Shawn Miller on August 2, 1987.

Interment in the Leon Cemetery was under the direction of Kennedy Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Ken Roberts, Charlie Allison, Loyd Whatley, Dale Gore, Larry Wilson and Larry Walker. Honorary bearers included Robert Hughes, Greg Ramone, Jim Bill Tolbert, Eva May Powell, Roscoe Hicks, Glenis Hartman, Archelowe Terrill, Larry Hicks, Dan Hartman and Uniroyal Co-workers.

The family has requested that donations be made to the American Cancer Society, c/o Kennedy Funeral Home, 100 East Main, Marietta, OK 73448.
