Services for Juanita McBride, 92, of Marietta were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 5 in the Marietta Church of Christ with Allen Woody and Brother Tony Lalli officiating.

Interment followed in the Leon Cemetery.
 
Born August 23, 1923, at Leon, the daughter of Charlie and Mandy Hatcher Gipson, she died Saturday, January 2, 2016, in Mercy Health Love County, Marietta.   A resident of Love County all of her life, Juanita was a farmer and also a line worker at Little Brownie Bakers in Marietta. She and W.A. "Badger" McBride were married at Jimtown on December 28, 1942, and he preceded her in death on September 10, 2007. Juanita enjoyed playing dominos, working in the yard, making plum jelly, telling stories, and sending birthday cards. She also loved watching basketball, especially the Dallas Mavericks. Most of all, Juanita treasured visits from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Juanita was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; granddaughter, Tammy McBride; son, Tuffy McBride; and brothers and sisters, Clinton Gipson, J.B. Gipson, Lizzie Gipson, Looney Perkins and Roy Perkins.

She is survived by two grandsons, Larry McBride and wife Kim of Marietta and Scott McBride of Lake Dallas, Texas; four great-grandchildren, Egan McBride, Matthew Coleman, Asheton McBride, and Payton McBride; two great-great grandchildren; sister, Edna Phillips of Oklahoma City; and daughter-in-law, Sue Landrum of Marietta. >Serving as pallbearers were Larry McBride, Scott McBride, Egan McBride, and Jack Miller.

Honorary bearers were Bud Hill, Joe Davis, John McBride, and Vance Parr.

The family suggests memorial contributions to the Tipton Children's Home, P.O. Box 370, Tipton, OK 73570.
