Mary Agnes (Montgomery) Hyman

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary A. Hyman were conducted Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Leon Baptist Church with the Rev. W.P. Rowland officiating.
 
Mrs. Hyman died February 17 in an Ardmore Hospital. She was born November 29, 1878 at Bulcher, Texas and had made her home in Love County since 1915.
 
The former Mary A. Montgomery was married to Henry F. Hyman in Gainesville, Texas on August 15, 1900. They were the parents of nine children, seven of whom survive.

Mrs. Hyman was preceded in death by her husband on January 25, 1951.

 
She had been a member of the Baptist Church since she was a young lady and had many friends throughout Love County.
 
Survivors are, two sons, Emerson Hyman of Randlett and Robert Hyman of Leon; five daughters, Mrs. Lillie Buckhanon of Leon, Mrs. Nettie Doughty of Grand Prairie, Texas, Mrs. Stella Flatt of Bethany, Mrs. Velma Reed of Rubottom and Mrs. Faber Melson of Osceola, Texas;
Also three brothers, W.C. Montgomery of St. Jo, Texas, J.E. Montgomery of Muenster, Texas and Robert Montgomery of Wichita Falls, Texas; three sisters, Mrs. Nora Thompson of Gainesville, Texas, Mrs. Electa Howard of Fort Worth, and Mrs. Leria Pittman of St. Jo, Texas; 29 grandchildren and 45 great grandchildren.

Interment in the Leon Cemetery was under the direction of the Goodrich Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbearers were, Rob. H. Graham, Ernest Taliaferro, Mack Frazier, Nig Brintle, Alvie Reed and Thurman Monkres.
