Interment followed in the Leon Cemetery.
Born March 19, 1951 at Leon, the son of Clyde and Aline Tom Hooker, he died Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at Muenster. Billy was raised at Leon attending school there and graduating from Turner High School in 1970. Billy attending welding school at Oklahoma City and began working at Falconhead. He began working at Uniroyal Tire Plant after leaving Falconhead and retired from Michelin just last year after 41 years of employment.
Billy and the former Ms. Rita Blakely had been dating since 1995 and were united in marriage on March 11, 2014 at Muenster. He enjoyed trail riding, going to Dairy Queen, rodeos, sports (especially baseball) and loved his dog “Buddy” and spending time with his family and friends. Billy also enjoyed farming and ranching and attending the Rubottom Baptist Church.
Preceding him in death were his parents and a brother, Albert Lee Hooker.
Survivors include his wife of the home; siblings, Shirley Ann Vickery and husband Arlen of Hobart, David Hooker and wife Linda of Oklahoma City, Linda Mitchell and husband Ron of Mustang and Jaque Terrill and husband Tim of Scottsdale, Arizona; nieces and nephews, Lisa, James, Shawna, Ronnie, Kevin, Ryan, Pam and Doug; and numerous other family and friends.
Serving as pallbearers were Don Musser, Jesus Luna, Michael White, Mike Parker, Sonny Hartman and Don Reed.
Honorary bearers were Gates Billette, Alex Moreno, Jack Coker, Johnny Hartman, Larry Hartman,
Chuck Hartman and Jackie Dale Miller.
