Graveside services for Marcell R. Harrison, 76, of Marietta will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, November 16 at the Leon Cemetery with Cecil Holt officiating.

Born September 14, 1944, at Ada, the daughter of Hershel and Hazel Glazier Reed, she died Saturday, November 7, 2020, at her residence. Marcell grew up in Clovis, New Mexico. She married the love of her life, Jerry Harrison, on June 1, 1962, in Clovis.

After celebrating 50 years of marriage, he preceded her in death on August 11, 2012. Marcell was a homemaker who loved sewing, crafting, baking, attending craft fairs, and making things for her grandkids. She enjoyed listening to gospel music and was a huge fan of Elvis Presley. Marcell was known to enjoy her Diet Cokes and Snickers while visiting with special friends she had in her "hen's circle". She attended Shady Dale Baptist Church and was a prayer warrior. Many things brought her joy and happiness, but the one thing she adored most was being with family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and an infant brother.

Survivors include her sons, Jason Harrison and wife Schelley of Gainesville, Texas and Coy Harrison and wife Lynzee of Aubrey, Texas; sister, Doris Freda Teague and husband B.R. of Blanket, Texas; five grandchildren, Harli, Emily, Karissa, Ethan, and Josie; and several nieces and nephews.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Cecil Holt, Cloyd Teague, Ramon Vega, and the Marietta Police Department.
