Born October 27, 1926 at Leon, the daughter of Harvey and Anna May Whittington Husband, she died Tuesday, January 19, 2021 in Mercy Hospital Tishomingo.
Lawanna grew up in Leon and graduated from Leon High School where she loved to play basketball. She continued to play even into her adult years. Lawanna was married to Kenneth McBride. They had three sons and made their home in Healdton. There she learned to play golf. Lawanna was active in helping Kenneth run his business until his death on August 3, 1971. She later married Johnny Hall and moved to Grand Prairie, Texas where she worked for M Bank. Upon their retirement, they moved back to Jimtown. You could say her roots were deep in the soil of that area.
Johnny preceded her in death on November 28, 2018. Lawanna had many interests, however spending time with her children and grandchildren was her favorite.
In addition to her parents and both husbands, she was also preceded in death by a son, Kenny McBride.
Survivors include two sons, Scott McBride and wife Jerilyn of Ardmore and Gary McBride and wife Deanna of Edmond, six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
