Services for Rhetta L. Davis, 63, of Ardmore were Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel with Major Wesley Short and Rev. Douglas Falknor officiating.

Born October 29, 1936 at Leon, the daughter of John Richard and Verna M. 'Nunn' Wooldridge, Mrs. Davis died January 26, 2000 in Ardmore. She moved with her parents to Graham at the age of 12 and graduated from Graham High School in 1955. She then attended Draughon's Business College in Wichita Falls, Texas, and was employed at Stromberg-Carlson for 18 years. Mrs. Davis was an active member of the Graham Baptist Church until 1985 when she moved to Ardmore and became a member of the Citadel of the Salvation Army and was an active member of the Ladies Home League.

Survivors include twin daughters and sons-in-law, Kay & Billy Hutson, of Gene Autry and Gay & Dolas Thornton of Ardmore; a son and daughter-in-law, Richie & Phyllis Davis of Lone Grove; her mother, Mrs. Verna Wooldridge of Ardmore; six grandchildren, Andy and J.R. Hutson of Gene Autry, Jennifer Davis and Toby Self of Ardmore, Amy Petway and Keri Davis Skelton of Wilson and five great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her father, John Richard Wooldridge on April 28, 1974 and a son, Billy Connell in 1964.

Interment was in the Leon Cemetery with Carl Adcox, Jimmy Brock, Billy Barksdale, Dennis James, Bill Russell and Bill Rushing serving as pallbearers.

Arrangements were under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home, Wilson.
