Cory Don Carlile was born November 30, 1979, in Marietta, the son of Penny Hull and Billy Johnson. He passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2017, at the age of 37 near Elmore City, OK.
 
A resident of Love County most of his life, Cory was employed by Dragon in the assembly department. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved to cook. Cory also loved his bulldogs. However, his greatest pleasure was spending time with his nieces, Ava and Bella. Cory was of the Baptist faith.
 
He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Larry Dale "Pete" Carlile; uncle, Mark Hull; paternal grandparents, Marvin and Olene Johnson; and maternal great-grandparents, Roy and Lucille Skaggs.
 
Survivors include his mother, Penny Carlile of Falconhead; father, Billy Johnson and wife Betty Sue of Wilson, OK; grandparents, Don and Betty Reed of Leon; stepgrandmother, Lucy Carlile of Leon; brother, Joshua Dale Carlile of Falconhead; aunt/sister, Ashlea Gilcrease and husband Forrest of Leon; nieces, Ava and Bella; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
 
Serving as casket bearers are Vernon Brown, Carroll Flatt, Michael Manning, Travis Nipp, Mike Morton, and Tommy Hawkins. Honorary bearers are Curtis Carlile, Keely Humphrey, Missy Tunnell, Forrest Gilcrease, and Kevin Whalley.
