Services for Gary Wayne Buckaloo, 68, of Thackerville were held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 24 in the Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home Chapel, Marietta with Brother Murray McMurray officiating. Interment followed in the Leon Cemetery.
 
Born May 7, 1953 at Madill, the son of Lome Price and Annie Irene Dale Buckaloo, he died Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at his residence.
 
Gary was a lifelong area resident. He and his brothers owned and operated a successful construction company. Gary married his love, Mary L. Caldwell on February 28, 1998 in Marietta. She preceded him in death on September 1, 2017. Gary was a hard-working man with a strong work ethic and was an excellent role model. Some of Gary's interests included collecting coins and antiques, racing cars, tractors, and restoring old cars. The thing he loved the most was watching his grandkids' ballgames. He was a loving son, brother, father, grandfather, and friend. Gary loved his friends and family dearly and will be greatly missed, but fondly remembered.
 
In addition to his wife and parents, he was also preceded in death by his son, Dwayne Buckaloo; five brothers; and three sisters.
 
Survivors include son, Matthew Price Buckaloo and wife Erin of Sallisaw; daughter, Christina Buckaloo of Lewisville, Texas; two brothers, Robert Ben Buckaloo of Thackerville and Jimmy Dean Buckaloo of Thackerville; sisters, Quintella Ann Stucks of Oklahoma City and Eileen Chase of Burneyville; grandchildren, Johnathan Buckaloo, Jarred Buckaloo, Justice Buckaloo, Matilyn Buckaloo, Mattox Buckaloo, Shea Buckaloo, Keegan Buckaloo, Clayton Buckaloo, Andy Shaw, Conner Chapman, and Jackson Williams; and great-grandchildren, Tucker Buckaloo and Kamryn Buckaloo.

Serving as pallbearers were Jim Price Buckaloo, Robert Lome Buckaloo, Jason Parker, Chad Buckaloo, Dustin Buckaloo, and Cory Buckaloo. Honorary bearers were Tony Bartee, Tony Hollar, Ronnie Voyles, Pete Duke, and Roy Mangum.
