Early morning Thursday, January 20, 2022 the world lost a fun-loving woman who touched the lives of so many people, Lois Marie Brown at the age of 89 years young. Her journey in life began in Leon, OK on June 6, 1932, one of nine children born to Virgil and Annie (Smith) Dean.

Lois was a lifelong area resident who attended school in Leon. She was a farmer/rancher and worked at Uniroyal for 15 years. Lois married the love of her life, Burl B. Brown on March 17, 1950. He preceded her in death on June 28, 2009, three months after celebrating their 59th wedding anniversary. Lois was a hardworking woman who was very active in church, work, her community, and life itself. She was a member of the Leon Baptist Church and she spent countless hours working at the Leon Cemetery. Lois enjoyed spending time outdoors gardening and working in her flower beds. Lois loved attending her granddaughters' ballgames. Her lifetime of experiences taught her the value of family and the love she had for her family was indescribable.

Left behind to cherish her memory is her son, Wayland Brown and wife Beth of Jimtown, OK; granddaughters, Lacy Westfall and husband Jeremy, Kari Brown, and Amy Morgan; great-granddaughters, Landry and Joley Westfall; brother, Bob Dean and wife Brenda of Marietta, OK; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Lois was preceded in death by daughter, Cleta Rawlins; brothers, Eldon Dean, C.L. Dean, Rayford Dean, Valton Dean, Easton Dean, and Ray Dean; and baby sister, Betty Pearl Dean.
