Services for Loretta J. Mitchell Willis, 71, of Marietta were held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, April 20 in the Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home Chapel with Doye “Chief” Willis and Cole Tidwell officiating.

Interment was in Lakeview Cemetery.

Born January 17, 1939 at Oil Springs, the daughter of H.H. “Dick” and Gladys Marion Mitchell, she died Saturday, April 17, 2010 in Mercy Memorial Health Center, Ardmore.

She had been a resident of Love County most of her life, graduating from Marietta High School in 1957. She and Ben Willis were married August 3, 1957 in Ardmore. A homemaker, Mrs. Willis was an immaculate housekeeper and excellent cook. She was a loving mother and wife who treasured time with her family. She also enjoyed traveling with the Ardmore Chickasaw Senior Group, fishing trips, scouting the creek banks for treasures, working crossword puzzles, and when she was younger liked to play the piano. Mrs. Willis was a student of the Bible and a very active member of the Lebanon Church of Christ.

Preceding her in death were her parents; a son, Benjamin Keith Willis; a grandson, Jason Dion Bales; and a sister, Dolores McMillin.

Survivors include her husband, Ben Willis of the home; two daughters and son-in-law, NaQuina and Keith Hall of Ryan and Luana Willis of Nocona, Texas; four sons and daughters-in-law, Travis Willis and Curtis and Sheri Willis, all of Marietta, Doye “Chief” and Teresa Willis of Tishomingo, and Marvin and April Willis of Lone Grove; a brother and sister-in-law, Frank and June Mitchell of Marietta; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Barbara Lou and L.D. Eppler of Madill and Betty Jo and Mike Rhoades of Edmond; nine grandchildren, Rachael, Benjamin, Jacob, Lindsey Rae, Jordan, Dakota, Lauryn, Hailey and Caleb; and great-grandson, Cooper.

Pallbearers were her sons, Travis Willis, Doye “Chief” Willis, Marvin Willis and Curtis Willis, and grandsons, Jacob Hall and Benjamin Bales. Honorary bearers were her nephews.
