Interment was in the Lakeview Cemetery, Marietta.
Born November 16, 1906 at Montague, Texas, the daughter of Andrew Jackson and Mary Ann Whisenhunt Harper, she died Wednesday, December 12, 2007, at Mercy Health Love County Hospital, Marietta.
A resident of Love County most of her life, Mrs. Treadwell was a homemaker. She had also been employed as a cook, working at The Hub restaurant in Marietta for more than 20 years. Mrs. Treadwell loved to cook and that was her way of expressing love to family and friends. She truly loved the Lord and taught her children the love of God. Mrs. Treadwell loved everyone and was always willing to help others. She attended the Christ Tabernacle Church.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, C.E. “Chuck” and Gladys Treadwell of Marietta; three daughters, Pauline Reynolds of Ardmore, Marie Chester of Artesia, California, and Mary Christie of Marietta; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two infant sons; a grandson, Charles E. Treadwell; six sisters; and two brothers.
Pallbearers were Jerry McGill, David Kerr, Kenneth Gillaspy, Altus Gillaspy, Richard Quisenberry and Robert Hughes. Honorary pallbearers were the men of the Christ Tabernacle Church of Marietta.
