Services for Norine C. Taylor, 85, of Marietta, were held at 10 a.m., Saturday, February 21, in the Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home Chapel, Marietta, with Bro. Ray Hilliard officiating.

Ms. Taylor was born February 12, 1919, in Marietta, the daughter of William Thomas and Lula Daniel Campbell. She died Wednesday, February 18, 2004, in Mercy Memorial Health Center, Ardmore.

A resident of Marietta all of her life, she graduated from Greenville High School and then attended Draughons Business School. Ms. Taylor served as Love County Clerk for 36 years. She was known as a wonderful cook and an excellent seamstress. Ms. Taylor was a dedicated member of the Marietta Church of Christ.

Survivors include a sister, Eulatha Campbell Gaither of Dallas; a nephew, Tom Gaither of Brownfield, Texas; two nieces, Jane Gaither Sintobin and Ann Gaither, both of Dallas; three great-nieces, Emilie Sintobin of Dallas, and Kali Gaither and Kristi Gaither of Brownfield; second cousins, David and June Kerr of Marietta; a host of other cousins; and her constant companion the past two years, her dog Missy.

Ms. Taylor was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Campbell on January 22, 1957; mother, Lula Daniel Campbell on December 24, 1964; brother, Lloyd Campbell on December 2, 1990; and a great-niece, Anne E. Roberts on August 8, 1999.

Pallbearers were Ron Colston, David Kerr, Jerry Kerr, Billy Van Kerr, Marion Rasor and Edwin Rasor. Honorary pallbearers were Walter Stacey, Monroe Thompson, Badger McBride and Dr. Tom O’Connor.

Interment was in Lakeview Cemetery, Marietta, under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home, Marietta.
