Born September 14, 1941, in Oklahoma City, Mrs. Segler died December 4, 1994, in the Love County Health Center, Marietta, at the age of 53. A resident of Marietta for the past 20 years, she worked as a cook at Marietta Schools and was also a homemaker. She married James Segler December 9, 1961, in Fillmore, California. Mrs. Segler was a member of the First Baptist Church of Marietta where she was involved with the nursery.
Survivors include her parents, Charles A. and Betty Jean Greer of Sallisaw; her husband, James Segler of the home in Marietta; a son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Brenda Segler of Marietta; a daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Matthew Taylor of Atoka; and a granddaughter, Tiffany Segler of Marietta.
Mrs. Segler was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Larry Greer, on May 9, 1986.
Services were directed by the Anderson-Kennedy Funeral Home with interment in Lakeview Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were Mike Hobson, Tom Chaney, Bud Cochran, Lyndal Hicks, Jeff Willis and Randall Harris. Honorary bearers were nephews.
