Services for Andrew Clark “Andy” Roberts, 97, of Marietta were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 27 in the Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home Chapel, Marietta with Randy McFarland officiating.

Interment followed in Lakeview Cemetery, Marietta.

Born April 2, 1914 in Loves Valley, the son of James Taylor and Myra Sue Cain Roberts, he died Sunday, April 24, 2011 in Mercy Health Love County, Marietta.

A resident of Love County all of his life, Mr. Roberts worked as a farmhand on the family farm. He enjoyed playing dominoes, telling stories and riding this three-wheel bicycle. Mr. Roberts was a member of Marietta’s First United Methodist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; a brother, J.T. Roberts; and a niece, Allyn Roberts.

Survivors include a brother, Billy Joe Roberts of Oregon; a sister, Betty Sue Wilson of Cache; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Joe Roberts, Larry Roberts, Charley Roberts, Tony Roberts, Stan Daugherty and John Smith. Honorary bearers were Dr. J.T. O’Connor and the staff of Lake Country Nursing Center.
