Graveside services for Peggy Johnston Roberson, 83, were Friday at 10:30 a.m. in Lakeview Cemetery with Rev. David Colaw officiating.

Born March 28, 1916, at Grady, Mrs. Roberson died June 2, 1999, in Marietta.  She was the daughter of Edwin and Ruth Johnson. A resident of Marietta for 60 years, Mrs. Roberson was a retired waitress.  She was of the Church of Christ faith.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Mary Ellen Johnston of Jimtown; a daughter, Marsha Birdwell of Marietta; a sister, Wanette Pistole of Ardmore; four grandchildren, Jeff Johnston, Steve Birdwell, Toni Birdwell and Kam Birdwell; three great-grandchildren.      

Mrs. Roberson was preceded in death by her first husband, Ray Johnston on December 21, 1990.

Services were under the direction of Kennedy Funeral Home.
