Jim began this life on May 26, 1967, in Ardmore, OK the son of James Alfred and Julia Andrea (Buckley) Riley. He grew up and attended schools in Marietta, graduating with the Class of 1989. Jim was a proud member of the Chickasaw Nation. Over the years, he learned to craft native jewelry and shared many of his creations with friends and family. Jim also spent countless hours on the back of a horse as part of a team roping tandem. He had most recently been employed at the Winstar Golf Course. Jim developed very special friendships there with his maintenance team. When Jim wasn’t working, you might catch him doing a little fishing or out in the garage tinkering with a motor. He was able to tear down any engine and get most of them back together with almost no “extra” nuts or bolts left over. There were many things that brought him joy in life, but what he really enjoyed was simply hanging out and visiting with friends and family.

Jim was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joe and Ruth Buckley, Katherine and Youcon Riley; stepmother, Sandy Riley; nephew, Riley Trey Kirk; and brother-in-law, Chris Kirk.

Those left to cherish Jim’s memory are his father, James Riley of  Marietta; mother, Andrea Mobley and husband Sonny of Burneyville, OK; son, Jeremy Colt Riley and wife Kaci of Moore, OK; daughters, Layne Chapman of Florida, Raven Newton of Ardmore, and Justice Townsend of Gainesville, TX; 6 grandchildren; three sisters, Kathy Kirk of Marietta, Connie Barker and husband Richard of Marietta, and Karen Riley of Marietta; two step-brothers, Kasey Willis and T.J. Willis both of Texas; and his beloved dogs, “Jethro” and “Dog”.

Casket bearers are Brandon Mathews, Kyle Kirk, Taylor McQueen, Laramie Ford, Colt Riley, and Richard Barker. Honorary bearers are Gary and Tina Putman, Amber Robertson, Bella Robertson, Cameron Sanders, Caroline Ramsey, Robbie Hartman, Charles Parker, Alexander Vann, and Sam Cain.
