Marilyn Renick of Waskom, Texas was born November 2, 1938, in the Bomar community of Love County to Arthur Talbert and Mary Grice Talbert. She passed Sunday, May 12, 2024, at the age of 85.
 
Marilyn grew up in Thackerville and graduated from Ardmore High School. She attended Murray State College, Tishomingo, graduating with an Associate Degree in Business and met the love of her life Rayford Renick, Jr. to whom she was married before his passing in 2021.
 
She is survived by her adopted daughter Kristi Renick Harris (Mike) of Whitehouse, Texas, and preceded in death by her adopted daughter Mary Renee Renick Williams (David) of Waskom. She leaves behind her loving grandchildren, Kayla Williams Hicks, Kayce Raye Williams, Megan Harris Granberry, and Molly Harris Keith, along with several great-grandchildren, Alex Fields, Keviana Hicks, Kainan Hicks, and Grace Granberry.
 
Marilyn started her work career as an office manager for a physician's office in Oklahoma City and after her husband's transfer to Houston, she became a full-time homemaker. She attended the Huntington Park Church of Christ in Shreveport, Louisiana, and was very active as a nursery worker.

The family will hold a private graveside service at Lakeview Cemetery, Marietta.
