Mrs. Pruett was born June 27, 1945, in the Eastman Community, the daughter of J.D. and Leatrice Smith Palmer, and died March 23, 1997, in the Love County Health Center, Marietta. Mrs. Pruett had lived in Love County most of her life, moving here from California in 1962. She was a factory worker and of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include two sisters and brothers-in-law, Cathy and Chris Lehman of Burneyville and Delona and John Goodwin of Lak Havasu City, Arizona; a half-brother, Payton Palmer of Marietta; a sister-in-law, Imogene Palmer of Leon; two nephews, Chad Thogmartin of Thackerville and Shawn Thogmartin of Marietta; and five aunts, Estalene Moreau of Marietta, Lorene Kile of Gainesville, Texas, Beatrice Stinson of Ardmore, Edna Jones of Hurst, Texas, and Audrey Davis of Bakersfield, California.

Mrs. Pruett was preceded in death by her mother, Leatrice Palmer on January 3, 1993; and a brother, Charles D. Hull in 1995.

Services were directed by Kennedy Funeral Home with Johnny Hartman, Jr., Harold Stinson, Victor Thompson, Chuck Hartman, Bobby Stinson and Wayne Baird assisting as pallbearers.
