Services for Leatrice Palmer were Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Anderson-Kennedy Funeral Home. Officiating was Rev. Tim Emmons, pastor of the Eastside Baptist Church.

Born January 27, 1909, in Love County, Mrs. Palmer died January 3, 1993, in the Love County Health Center, Marietta, at the age of 83. She was the daughter of Charlie Columbus and Ona Arkadelphia Barnes Smith.

Mrs. Palmer had lived in Marietta since 1962, moving here from California. A retired nurses aide, she worked at the Love County Health Center for 20 years. Mrs. Palmer was a member of the Church of Christ.

She was married to J.D. Palmer.

Survivors include a son, Charles D. Hull of Mena, Arkansas; three daughters, Charlene Pruitt of the home in Marietta, Cathy Lehman of Burneyville, and Delona Lee Goodwin of Lake Havasu City, Arizona; five sisters, Estalene Moreau of Marietta, Lorene Kile of Gainesville, Texas, Audrey Davis of Bakersfield, California, Edna Warren of Hurst, Texas, and Beatrice Stinson of Ardmore; and 11 grandchildren.

Mrs. Palmer was preceded in death by her husband on October 4, 1971; and two brothers, Adrian Smith and S.T. Smith.

Interment in Lakeview Cemetery was under the direction of the Anderson-Kennedy Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbearers were Harold Stinson, Billy Stinson, Bobby Stinson, Greg Greenwood, Victor Thompson, and Robert Dees.
