Vivian Elizabeth (Gibson) Motsenbocker

Vivian Elizabeth Motsenbocker, of Marietta, OK, was born to Homer and Caroline (Alexander) Gibson on June 22, 1924, in Hardeman County, Texas. She passed away at Mercy Love County in Marietta on Tuesday, April 27, 2023, at the age of 98.
 
Vivian married J.C. “Buddy” Motsenbocker on May 14, 1966.
 
She was a member of the Church of Christ since 1952. Vivian was a master seamstress, loved traveling with his family, bird watching, cooking, sharing recipes, quilting, and all kinds of flowers. Her family was very important to her, and she was very close to her siblings. The biggest joy of her life was Cady and her children, whom she enjoyed so much.
 
Vivian is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, J.C. “Buddy” Motsenbocker; a grandson, Brian Motsenbocker; siblings, Ben “Jake” Gibson, Frank “Hoot” Gibson, T.C. Gibson, Walter Gibson, Margaret “Kink” Morris, Annie Thorton, Oma Fay “Win” Vaughn, Eunabelle White, Estel Beaty and Ruby Kennedy; and a special cousin, Anna Lee Hubbard. 
 
Left to cherish Vivian’s memory are her daughter, LeaAnn Savage and husband Ronnie; their children, Cady Dominguez, and husband Jessie; and their grandkids, Ivy, Savage, and Jagger; stepsons, Jack Motsenbocker and wife Louise; Steve Motsenbocker and his daughter Jaclyn, and Tony Motsenbocker and wife Rita, and their children Daryl, Lisa and Kyle; a brother, Homer “Bud” Gibson; a sister, Helen Bowie; numerous nieces and nephews; and a special caregiver, Kaleena “KK” Burton.
 
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at the Marietta Church of Christ with Allen Woody officiating. Interment will follow at the Lakeview Cemetery at a later date. Services are under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
