Clarence Edward "Pops" Manning was born November 4, 1938, in Orange County, California to Marion and June (Blazer) Manning. He passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2023, at his Marietta residence at the age of 85.

Pops was raised in southern California and moved to Marietta in 1978 from Ontario, California. He retired from the WinStar World Casino, where he worked alongside his wife as a dishwasher at the Grand Via Buffet. He loved to hunt, fish, and watch baseball and football, especially the Los Angeles Rams. Pops married the former Dorothy Patricia Robinson on December 21, 1958, in Beaumont, California.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Lewis Manning; brothers, Charles Manning and Larry Manning; and sisters, Mary Lugenbel and Sue Bailey.

Those left to cherish Pops' memory are his wife, Dorothy Manning of the home; son, Danny Manning and wife Frances of Ardmore; daughters, Dee Smith of Ardmore and Debbie Mueller of Gainesville, Texas; family friend, Cindy Whitney of Marietta; 12 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and brothers, Jerry Manning of Gilbert, Arizona, Leon Manning and wife Rosie of Hisperia, California, Isom Manning and wife Kellie of Upland, California, and Billy Manning and wife Virginia of Ontario, California.

Graveside services for Pops will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, January 5, 2024, at Lakeview Cemetery in Marietta with Brother Brett Alberda officiating.
