Interment followed in the Lakeview Cemetery, Marietta.
Born October 21, 1954, at Bomar, the
son of Bernie B. and Betty Marie Grice Lemons, he died Sunday,
November 25, 2018, in Texoma Medical Center, Denison, Texas.
A resident of Love County most of his
life, Jody graduated from Thackerville High School in 1972. He owned
and operated Lemons Custom Painting Service for more than 30 years.
Jody loved the outdoors, gardening, his dogs and cats, and tinkering
with things. He also enjoyed country music and playing his guitar,
but most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially
his grandchildren. Jody was of the Protestant faith.
He was preceded in death by his
parents.
Survivors include his wife, Janet Fisher of the home; son, Chad Lemons and wife Ashli of Marietta; three daughters, Milissa “Missy” Nichols and husband Joey of Lone Grove, Shawna Arthur and husband James of Marietta, and Misty Hughes of Lawton; brother, Bernie “Bunky” Lemons and wife Debbie of Ardmore; 11 grandchildren; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers were Gregg Sampson, Clay Sampson, James Arthur, Joe Guerrero, Donnie Thacker, and Joey Nichols. Honorary bearers were Ray Grice, Bunky Lemons, Anthony Reed, and his children and grandchildren.
