Mrs. Husband was born November 1, 1904, at Rowlett, Texas, and died November 24, 1994, in the Love County Health Center, Marietta, at the age of 90. She was the daughter of Lucien and Mary Woods Weeks.
Mrs. Husband had lived in Marietta since 1967, moving here from Turkey, Texas. She was a homemaker and had previously worked with the Blue Ribbon Laundry, Roundhouse Café, Ralph Sparks and Paul McGill. Mrs. Husband was a member of the First Baptist Church of Marietta.
She married Joe Husband on November 27, 1925, at Childress, Texas, and he preceded her in death on May 13, 1982.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Ann Husband of Childress; two daughters and son-in-law, Velda Hurst of Marietta and Delores and Jack Toland of Lubbock, Texas; a sister, Vida Mae Pierce of Turkey, Texas; 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Interment in Lakeview Cemetery was directed by the Anderson-Kennedy Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers were grandsons, Don Hurst, Scotty Hurst, Roger Husband, Ricky Husband, Tommy Husband and Donnie Hurst. Honorary bearers were Joe Franklin, Dan Franklin, Tim Franklin, Bud Cochran, Paul McGill, Larry Fergueson, George Wood, Clark Tipton, Don Bone and Bobby Sharp.
