Services for Agnes “Sis” Hughes, 83, of Marietta were held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, November 13 in the Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home Chapel, Marietta, with Lawrence Anderson officiating.

Interment was in Lakeview Cemetery, Marietta.

Born May 28, 1929, in Marietta, the daughter of Charlie and Nettie Mae Clay Hughes, she died Thursday, November 8, 2012, in Mercy Memorial Health Center, Ardmore.

A homemaker, Sis enjoyed visiting with friends, watching movies, eating popcorn, drinking pop and getting her nails done. She especially enjoyed the holiday parties and visits with family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Herman, Harless, Vernon, Hershel and Charlie Hughes Jr.; and two sisters, Charlene Gray and June Cross.

Survivors include four sisters and brothers-in-law, Alice Martin of Oklahoma City and Nettie and Blackie Moore, Rosemary Brown and Carolyn and Ernest Morgan, all of Marietta; sister-in-law, Mary Hughes, also of Marietta; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Sheldon Brown, Vernon Hughes, Clayton Hughes, Brian Liddell, Ernest Morgan and Bert Tickel.  Honorary pallbearers were Dr. Tom O’Connor and her family at Lake Country Nursing Center.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Lake Country Nursing Center Activity Fund.
