Interment followed in the Lakeview Cemetery, Marietta.
Born March 29, 1942, at Seminole, the son of Walter and Marie Hubbard Holder, he died Tuesday, December 18, 2018, in Denison, Texas. Charles grew up in Marietta, graduating with the Marietta High School class of 1961. He and Marie Koonce were married in Fort Worth, Texas on March 27, 1992. Charles worked as an installer in the insulation business for more than 30 years. He enjoyed watching old western movies, fishing and other outdoor activities as well as traveling throughout the United States with a fifth wheel. Charles enjoyed being with family and friends. His family was of utmost importance. Charles was of the Church of Christ faith.
Preceding him in death were his parents; daughter, Christy Holder; brother, Albert F. “Bud” Holder; and an infant sister, Cloeta Holder.
Survivors include his wife, Maxie Holder of Marietta; two daughters, Roxanna Glass of Fort Worth and Dawn McDowell and husband Kenny of Fort Worth; brother, Kenneth Holder of Sherman, Texas; two sisters, Alice Duré and Sue Carol Allen and husband Richard, all of Ardmore; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Serving as pallbearers were John Nicol, Jacob Nicol, Jared Nicol, Gerald Comardelle, Kenny Holder, and Jerry Duncan.
