Service for Lucille Florence Hill, 96, of Marietta, were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, March 1, at the First United Methodist Church, Marietta, with the Rev. Tony Caro officiating.

Interment was in Lakeview Cemetery, Marietta. Arrangements were directed by Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home, Marietta.

Born February 11, 1909, in Loves Valley, the daughter of Colonel and Cynthia Scott Michael, she died Saturday, February 26, 2005, in Mercy Health/Love County Hospital, Marietta.

A resident of Love County all of her life, Mrs. Hill was a homemaker. She attended Southeastern College in Durant. She and Jerry Hill were married in Madill in 1932, and he preceded her in death February 20, 1982. Mrs. Hill was a member of the Love County Chamber of Commerce. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Marietta and the United Methodists Women’s Society, as well as a volunteer for the Southern Oklahoma Nutrition Program for 30 years.

Survivors include nieces, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and many friends.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Pat Michael; and two nieces.

Pallbearers were Claude Brannan, Larry Martin, Bud Hill, Jimmy Dixon, Ron Jacobs and Jack Tow.

Memorials may be made to Marietta’s First United Methodist Church, or to the charity of one’s choice.
