Services for Virginia Nadine Hearon, 78, of College Station, Texas, were held at 3 p.m., Saturday, August 28, in Memorial Funeral Chapel, College Station, with the Rev. Johnny Sloan officiating.

Mrs. Hearon was born August 4, 1926, at Enville, the daughter of John Brintle and Bertha McAnally. She died Wednesday, August 25, 2004, at her residence following a lengthy illness. She had been a resident of College Station since 1976. Mrs. Hearon was retired as the owner and operator of Ponderosa Motor Inn in College Station. She and Jim P. Hearon were married 63 years. Mrs. Hearon was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her husband, Jim of College Station; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jimmie June and Robert Pottberg of Hilltop Lakes, Texas, and Ginger and Gary Melton of College Station; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Hearon was preceded in death by her parents; five siblings and an infant son.

Interment was in Lakeview Cemetery, Marietta.

Local arrangements were under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home, Marietta, with funeral arrangements provided by Memorial Funeral Chapel, College Station.
