Services for Carlin Jane “Janie” Walker Gorden, 64, of Fort Worth, Texas, were held at 10 a.m., Thursday, December 30 in the Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home Chapel, Marietta with her son, Eddie Montgomery officiating.

Interment followed in the Lakeview Cemetery, Marietta.

Born June 19, 1946 in Marietta, the daughter of George R. Walker, Sr. and Pearl Patton Walker, she died Monday, December 27, 2010 in Harris Methodist Hospital, Fort Worth. Janie had been a resident of the Fort Worth area since 1987 and was employed in quality control with cell phone assembly. She was of Church of Christ faith.

Preceding her in death were her parents and a brother, George Walker, Jr.

Survivors include four sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry Paul Montgomery II and wife, Roxanne and Johnny Brent Montgomery, all of Fort Worth, Eddie and Jessie Montgomery of Boyd, Texas and Patrick “Skeeter” and Kimmy Gorden of Corsicana, Texas; a brother, Terry Walker of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas; two sisters, Billie Slimp of Marietta and Wanda Clark of Kingston; 10 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Pallbearers were J.P. Montgomery II, Patrick “Skeeter” Gorden, Clay Montgomery, Chaz Benavidas, Douglas Ray Blevins and James Smith. Honorary bearers were Johnny Brent Montgomery, Preston Montgomery, Joshua Montgomery and Lawson Gorden.
